Simple Solutions – Yogitoes Mat Towel

If you tend to sweat during your yoga practice, you have probably slipped on (or off!) your mat at some point. And if you sweat a lot (like me), a regular towel doesn’t offer much help — usually soaking up sweat like a sponge, only to then serve as a Slip ‘n Slide.

Like so many things, I accepted this as part of my practice: I would sweat – and I would often slip.

While I was initially a bit skeptical, I purchased a [easyazon_link asin=”B000SQF5YM” locale=”US” new_window=”default” nofollow=”default” tag=”yogasimple-20″ add_to_cart=”default” cloaking=”default” localization=”default” popups=”default”]yogitoes Skidless Mat Size Yoga Towel[/easyazon_link]. What I immediately liked was the simple fact that the towel covered my entire mat, leaving no room for error to end up at the back of a towel-less sweaty mat and slip off.

And even though I was dripping at the end of my practice, to my surprise, my yogitoes towel was not.

Yogitoes has also cleverly added a dot (which on my towel is a peace symbol) at the top of the towel, serving as a drishti or “gazing point” (in Sanskrit, drishti means sight). Directing your gaze towards this point helps with balance, focus, and guides one’s attention inward.

So now that I have incorporated a yogitoes mat towel as a regular part of my practice, I also appreciate the wide variety of subtle hues and shimmering metallic trims – suiting just about any yogi personality.

But what I appreciate even more is that each towel is made using eight recycled plastic bottles. To date, yogitoes has repurposed 3.5 million recycled plastic bottles into their product line.

You can peruse and purchase all the different yogitoes mat options either on [easyazon_link cloaking=”default” keywords=”yogitoes” localization=”default” locale=”US” nofollow=”default” new_window=”default” tag=”yogasimple-20″]Amazon.com[/easyazon_link] or on the yogitoes web site.
